How Silent Disco Headphones Are Making an Entrance Into Hollywood

By now, most people have at least heard of a silent disco and all of the advantages this music listening style can offer. However, many people might not realize that this widely popular listening style has even made its way into mainstream media. Hollywood has recognized the potential of the silent party and its popularity by incorporating the concept and our silent headphones as the equipment of choice in several highly-rated shows. So, how are silent headphones making an entrance in Hollywood? Today, we’ll cover some top examples of popular shows bringing in the concept of silent parties and using our silent headphones to achieve this goal.Get more news about silent disco headsets, you can vist our website!

If you’re a huge fan of this police comedy from NBC, you’ve likely already seen the episode featuring a silent disco. In season 2, episode 5, “The Mole,” Sergeant Terry Jeffords, played by Terry Crews, and Detective Rosa Diaz, played by Stephanie Beatriz, go undercover at a silent disco. Sergeant Jeffords is confused by the entire concept of the silent party as he was a frequent disco attendee back in his younger days, and they were never silent. Without spoiling the whole episode if you’re unfamiliar or can’t remember it, his reaction to the silent headphones is just as funny as you would imagine. The silent disco was just starting to creep into Hollywood at this point. Though it’s only a minor example from a single episode in the series, it’s clear that Hollywood is starting to see the popularity of the silent event.

As the silent disco grew in popularity, it found its way into another hit show, Netflix’s “Atypical” that is a coming-of-age television series about an 18-year-old student named Sam Gardner, played by Keir Gilchrist. In season 1, episode 8, titled “The Silencing Properties of Snow,” the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) at Sam’s school chooses to hold a silent disco prom so that Sam can feel more comfortable attending. Atypical decided to feature our Party Headphones for the prom scenes.

What’s exciting about this episode featuring a silent party is that it shows the practicality of holding a silent event for more reasons than that it’s simply fun. Many people with autism spectrum disorder deal with sensory sensitivity to various sounds. Those people experiencing the symptoms of autism can perceive specific sounds as overly intense, overwhelming, and in some cases, it can be painful.

Silent headphones present an opportunity for people diagnosed with autism to participate in events that would generally be overwhelmingly loud for them with customizable volume control. Furthermore, they can choose different music or remove the silent headphones entirely if the music becomes too much for them. Atypical showed audiences that these silent events offer much more than a fun, new way to listen to music.
With silent discos becoming even more mainstream in 2020, rapper and comedian Dave Burd, known commonly by his stage name Lil Dicky, brought the concept into his new FX comedy show, “Dave” that’s a television series loosely based on Lil Dicky’s life. The show focuses on a suburban man named Dave in his late 20s who wants to become one of the greatest rappers of all time. In season 1, episode 7, Dave’s friend Emma’s car gets broken into after spending the night with another friend, Elz. Without spoiling the episode, it ends at a silent disco that Elz is disc jockeying (DJing) for and featuring our wireless headphones as the listening equipment of choice.

What’s important for the silent disco culture in this episode is that Hollywood shows the mainstream popularity of silent events. In addition, this shows’ inclusion of the silent disco shows that this exciting listening style is becoming an everyday event that people are attending more and more.
